Chicken ke Seekh

A lot of people these days are giving up on red meat for health reasons. Though we do not consume Beef at all, and most of my red meat is either Goat or Lamb, a lot of my friends do not consume red meat altogether. Considering that I came up with this recipe of Chicken ke Seekh.

Though nothing beats the juicy lamb when it comes to seekh kebabs,  but this recipe does satisfy your taste buds without a fuss.

Instructions
  1. Mince the onion, green chili and coriander leaves without adding any water. You do not need a paste, it needs to be finely chopped.
  2. Add it to the minced chicken.
  3. Add salt, garam masala, red chili flakes, turmeric and anardana powder to the minced chicken. Mix it well.
  4. Add Ginger garlic paste and the beaten egg. Mix more. Finally add the corn flour and egg.
  5. At serving time, preheat the oven to 180 C. Grease a skewer and warm it a little on fire. Take a big ball of mince mixture and hold the skewer carefully in the other hand. Press the mince to the skewer very carefully. The mince will immediately stick to the slightly hot skewer. If the skewer are very cold, the mince will not stick. Repeat the same process with the left over mince on all the other skewers.
  6. Place skewers in the hot oven. Cook for 10-15 minutes or till done, rotating skewers.
  7. Once the seekh gets cooked, gently remove the kebabs from the skewer with the help of a cloth. ENJOY!!!
