  1. Add Oil to a pressure cooker. Add the Bay leaves, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon stick and whole pepper.
  2. Add the sliced onions.
  3. Once the onions turn brown, add a little water to stop the further browning of the onions. Add green chilies and Ginger garlic paste. Saute till the raw smell goes away.
  4. Add the coriander powder and turmeric powder. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the trotters and coriander leaves. Mix well. Add the 10 cups of water too.
  6. Cook for upto 5 whistles. If using a normal cooking pan, cook for around 3 hours on low to medium heat.
  7. Serve with Bheja fry and Parantha or just Paaya with Roti/ Parantha.
